My work combines original photographs and pictures of faces created by means of artificial intelligence. Karras et al. and Nvidia used generative adversarial network (GAN) software (StyleGAN2) to create computer generated faces. These faces are indistinguishable to the human eye from photographic images. Fictional? Faces is the creation of new images through the combination of original photographs and GAN derived images. My work invites the viewer to consider whether it is relevant to see the difference?
